Well, it's not much of an API, but still useful since it allows you to create a custom interface to Taguno.

Just point your browser to http://www.taguno.com/?q={taguno query}

Taguno will transparently load your custom aliases, then redirect you to your destination.

Try It: http://www.taguno.com/?q=g i m cars (instantly directs you to medium-sized pictures of cars)
